February 23rd will feature Egyptian themed stories, starting with “One Blue Hippo” by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Children will practice counting with the help of works of art from the Metropolitan Museum’s Egyptian collection. The second book, “Tickle Tut’s Toes” by Julie Appel, explores the wonders of ancient Egypt including King Tut’s tomb, mummies, and Nefertiti’s tomb. Children will enjoy a tea time snack and create Egyptian inspired jewelry as well as an ancient Egyptian mobile.
