One of the most popular Sierra Madre attractions is a plant, which has been a draw for over 100 years. On an annual basis, the city holds the Wisteria Festival. The over 100 year old Wisteria plant that is the centerpiece of this festival is only seen during the festival, and is revealed when it is in full bloom. There are numerous other things to see in this community, and the Sierra Madre Parks and Recreation Department puts a lot of time and money into making sure that what’s available suits as many interests as possible.
There are numerous parks available to residents and visitors in Sierra Madre, and they are among the most popular Sierra Madre attractions. This city is situated in an area that enjoys incredible views of the foothills, and many of the parks are located in areas that make it possible to enjoy those vistas in a friendly and safe environment. Memorial Park is perhaps the best-known, as it is the location where the city holds its various summer concerts. There are plenty of other facilities, as well, including Goldberg Park, Mt. Wilson Trail and the Bailey Canyon Park.
Sierra Madre parks are open from 6 am to 10 pm every day of the year. The sole exception is Bailey Park, where the nature trails and wild spaces are closed off to the public at dark for safety reasons. These parks can be reserved for private events by filling out a form and giving it to the Sierra Madre Parks and Recreation Department. There are plenty of trails available in most of these parks. Remember to follow the city’s policies regarding the equipment and activities that are allowed in these parks, as they are designed for the safety of visitors and the preservation of the environs.
Pasadena tourist attractions include many parks, as well, and plenty of golf venues and other destinations. Both cities have plenty of restaurants and other venues to explore. If you’re in Pasadena, be sure to stop by the Pacific Asia Museum and the Pasadena Museum of California Art, both of which celebrate the artistic and cultural heritage of this dynamic and always exciting state. The Bunny Museum is another fun destination.
